For 60 years, this must-see mountain has been accessible by cable car from the center of Chamonix. It takes just 20 minutes to reach the observation terraces at 3777 meters, with a 360° view of all the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. An elevator takes you up to the summit terrace at 3842 meters, from where you can enjoy incredible views of Mont Blanc.

Montenvers train

Inaugurated in 1901, this little train that transports visitors from Chamonix Mont-Blanc to the Montenvers site is an institution. An extraordinary, vertiginous journey that ends at an altitude of 1913 metres, with breathtaking views of the Drues, Grandes Jorasses and Grands Charmoz.
